Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her work in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. The actress has won numerous awards, such as two Golden Globe Awards, and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett comes originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett along with her sister, and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father split from the mother of their children. While in high school Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading parts in the film Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
